[AkhirZaman.org] Sungguh mengejutkan melihat populasi dunia kita dan melihat statistiknya. Selama lebih dari 5.000 tahun, pertumbuhan penduduk cukup datar. Tetapi Revolusi Industri mengubah segalanya.

Pertimbangkan bahwa dibutuhkan seluruh sejarah manusia untuk mencapai populasi satu miliar pada tahun 1800-an. Miliaran kedua datang dalam waktu 130 tahun (1930). Miliar ketiga dicapai hanya dalam 30 tahun (1959), dan miliaran keempat hanya dalam 15 tahun (1974). Miliar kelima datang 13 tahun kemudian (1987). Masih sulit dipercaya bahwa di abad ke-20 saja, dunia tumbuh dari 1,65 miliar menjadi 6 miliar.

Bagaimana semua orang ini dapat dijangkau dengan Injil? Dibutuhkan kekuatan supernatural untuk itu terjadi. Sama seperti pencurahan khusus Roh Kudus meluncurkan penyebaran Injil di abad pertama, demikian juga “hujan akhir” khusus akan diberikan untuk mematangkan panen Bumi di akhir zaman (Yoel 2:23; Yakobus 5: 7) .

Yesus berjanji, “Injil kerajaan ini akan diberitakan di seluruh dunia sebagai saksi bagi semua bangsa, dan kemudian akhir itu akan datang” (Matius 24:14). Sekarang dengan media modern — TV, Internet, radio — mudah untuk melihat bagaimana Injil dapat ditempatkan dalam jangkauan seluruh dunia pada generasi ini.

Tentu saja, tidak semua orang akan percaya dan menanggapi pesan dari Alkitab. Benar juga bahwa banyak orang telah mendengar Injil. Jika Anda benar-benar ingin merasakan penyebaran kebenaran, bacalah kitab Kisah Para Rasul. Pesan dari buku ini adalah bahwa Injil dibagikan dengan dunia yang dikenal saat itu melalui kuasa Roh dalam satu generasi!
