[AkhirZaman.org] Pemerintah Prancis mengancam akan menjatuhkan sanksi baru terhadap Iran jika menolak bernegosiasi mengenai program rudalnya. Namun, Iran menolak didikte negara manapun atas hak pengembangan rudal dengan tujuan defensif atau pertahanan.
Ancaman disampaikan Menteri Luar Negeri Prancis Jean-Yves Le Drian pada hari Minggu menjelang kunjungannya ke Teheran pada hari Senin (5/3/2018).
”Ada program rudal balistik yang bisa mencapai beberapa ribu kilometer yang tidak sesuai dengan resolusi Dewan Keamanan PBB, dan melampaui satu-satunya kebutuhan untuk mempertahankan perbatasan Iran,” kata Le Drian.
“Jika tidak ditangani, negara ini akan menghadapi sanksi baru,” lanjut dia melontarkan ancaman.
Dalam sebuah pernyataan terpisah, Le Drian meminta masyarakat internasional untuk mengambil tindakan untuk mencegah rudal Iran menjadi ancaman bagi semua “aktor” regional.
Diplomat Paris tersebut mengatakan bahwa dia akan mengangkat masalah itu selama pertemuan yang dijadwalkan dengan Menteri Luar Negeri Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif dan pejabat senior Iran lainnya di Teheran.
Namun, para pejabat Iran tak suka dengan ancaman seperti itu. ”Tidak ada negara yang bisa memutuskan untuk kita atau orang lain. Republik Islamlah yang akan menentukan jenis rudal yang bisa dimilikinya,” kata Ali Akbar Velayati, seorang penasihat senior pemimpin tertinggi Iran.
Dia mengatakan, Le Drian harus mengadopsi pendekatan yang tidak kritis terhadap Iran jika Prancis berharap dapat memperkuat hubungan antara kedua negara.
Teheran sejatinya telah berulang kali menyatakan bahwa program rudal negaranya murni defensif. Namun, Iran mempertimbangkan bernegosiasi jika Amerika Serikat dan sekutunya di Eropa yang memiliki senjata nuklir menjadi pihak yang pertama kali membongkar senjata pemusnah massal atau nuklirnya.
”Kondisi untuk menegosiasikan rudal Iran adalah penghancuran senjata nuklir dan rudal jarak jauh Amerika Serikat dan Eropa,” kata juru bicara Angkatan Bersenjata Iran Masoud Jazayeri pada hari Sabtu pekan lalu, seperti dikutip media pemerintah Teheran.
Pada bulan Februari, Presiden Iran Hassan Rouhani menegaskan cara negosiasi Teheran. ”Kami akan bernegosiasi tanpa senjata kami,” ujarnya.”Rudal Iran bersifat defensif dan tidak dirancang untuk membawa senjata pemusnah massal, karena kami tidak memilikinya,” imbuh presiden yang dikenal sebagai politikus moderat ini.
Perancis adalah salah satu penandatangan Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) 2015 atau dikenal sebagai kesepakatan nuklir Iran. Dalam kesepakatan itu, Iran bersedia mengekang program nuklirnya dengan imbalan pencabutan sanksi.
Dalam kesepakatan nuklir itu, tidak dicantumkan klausul larangan bagi Teheran untuk mengembangkan rudal, sehingga Iran merasa berhak mengembangkannya.
”Sekarang mereka meminta Iran untuk berdiskusi tentang isu-isu lain. Jawaban kami jelas: Jadikan (kesepakatan nuklir) sebuah pengalaman sukses dan kemudian kita membahas masalah lain,” kata Wakil Menteri Luar Negeri dan juru runding nuklir utama Iran, Abbas Araghchi, seperti dikutip Russia Today.
