Saya tidak punya kontak dengan Dia dan baik – baik saja tanpa Dia.”
Tahun berikutnya, tanggal 14 Januari 1914, Wilson mendengar khotbah yang disampaikan oleh James M. Gray, seorang pendeta Reformis Episkopal dan belakangan Rektor Moody Bible Institute. Berbicara dari Roma 12 : 1, Gray mencondongkan badan di atas mimbar dan berkata : “ Lihatlah Anda bahwa ayat ini tidak mengatakan kepada kita kepada siapa kita harus menyerahkan tubuh kita ? Bukan kepada Tuhan Yesus. Ia memiliki tubuhNya sendiri. Bukan kepada Bapa. Ia tetap berada diatas takhtaNya. Yang lain telah datang kebumi tanpa tubuh. Tuhan memberi Anda kehormatan yang tak tergambarkan untuk mempersembahkan tubuh kalian kepada Roh kudus, untuk menjadi tempat kediamanNya dibumi ini.
Wilson kembali kerumah dan tersungkur di atas karpet. Di sana, dalam keheningan larut malam, ia berkata, “ Tuhan aku telah memperlakukan Engkau seperti seorang pelayan. Jika saya ingin, saya memanggilMu. Sekarang saya menyerahkan tubuh ini mulai dari kepala hingga ujung kaki. Saya menyerahkan tangan, tungkai, mata, bibir, otak saya. Engkau boleh mengutus tubuh ini ke Afrika, atau membaringkannya di tempat tidur karena kanker. Tubuh ini adalah tubuhMu mulai detik ini.”
Keesokan paginya, dua wanita datang kekantor Wilson untuk menjual iklan. Ia segera membawa mereka kepada Kristus, dan itu adalah awal dari kehidupan penginjilannya yang berbuah banyak. Belakangan Wilson mendirikan Central Bible Church di Kansas City, Flagstaff Indian Mission, Calvary Bible College, dan menulis karya besttellernya, “Romance of a Doctor’s Visit.” Sehubungan dengan pengalaman saya pribadi dengan Roh Kudus, transformasi dalam kehidupan saya pada tanggal 14 januari 1914 lebih besar dibandingkan perubahan yang terjadi ketika saya diselamatkan tangan 21 Desember 1896.”
