Selamatkan Guru, Prajurit Belia Tewas Kena Ledakan Bom

[AkhirZaman.org] Seorang tentara belia berusia 22 tahun tewas dalam ledakan bom di Provinsi Narathiwat, Thailand Selatan, Rabu (17/2/2016).

Selain menewaskan satu prajurit, ledakan bom itu pun menyebabkan lima prajurit lainnya terluka parah.

Mereka menjadi korban serangan bom saat sedang melakukan tugas penyisiran jalan. Peristiwa ini sekaligus menyelamatkan sebuah bus yang berisi para guru yang hendak melintas di jalur tersebut.

Para pemberontak di wilayah itu memang menyasarkan serangan kepada guru dan bahkan warga sipil, selain prajurit. Penyerangan pun tak hanya dilakukan dengan bom, namun juga penembakan.

Berdasarkan penjelasan aparat kepolisian setempat, ledakan terjadi ketika enam serdadu itu melakukan pemeriksaan jalan di Distrik Bacho, yang akan dilintasi rombongan guru.

“Bom itu meledak ketika dua dari enam prajurit itu berhenti untuk memeriksa barang yang terlihat mencurigakan di pinggir jalan,” kata Viroj Boonkhae, salah satu petugas kepolisian di Bacho.

Viroj mengatakan, lima serdadu lainnya saat ini telah dilarikan ke rumah sakit setempat.

Seperti yang diberitakan, wilayah dengan penduduk mayoritas muslim di Thailand Selatan ini telah lama menjadi areal konflik. Penyerangan dan kekerasan kerap terjadi di sana.

Para pemberontak meminta lepas dari Negara Thailand, yang menganeksasi wilayah itu lebih dari satu abad yang lalu.
